This weekend saw 4 cadets complete their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh assessed expedition. The group showed great teamwork skills and navigated through some tough terrain in changeable weather. A great weekend all round!

Congratulations to the 11 cadets who represented the Sqn at the Durham Northumberland Wing Inter-Sqn Cross Country competition today. We walked away with 3rd place for the under 15 boys and 1st place for junior men. Well done to all for your determination and enthusiasm even in the cold weather!

They did it! It seems we massively under estimated their endurance and enthusiasm for this amazing charity, our target was 200km. Cadets from 234 and 1407 (Newton Aycliffe) Squadron had a fantastic camp at RAF Boulmer. With a beach walk, bunker visit, TAC floor exercise and visit to the fire station the cadets were kept very busy. We also watched Alnwick’s firework display with some hot chocolate and marshmallows.
